Welcome to the Roots of the World Blog and North East Gig Guide January 2014

Featuring North East Artist of the Month

With a strong connection to the north east Beccy now Yorkshire based has a new album out "IMAGO", which has been critically well received. Buy it here.

I have seen Beccy before and her style captivates and delights audiences with her vocal prowess and innovative ear catching arrangements. It is a very honest courageous album which over twelve episodes charts the path of an extremely difficult relationship Becky has now emerged from with this musical triumph.

She is appearing at the Live Theatre, Newcastle (10/1) and The Old Cinema Launderette, Durham (7/2)  and with her band "Sharks Took The Rest" at Quiliams Tea House, Newcastle (16/1). Go see!

Hear 3 songs from "IMAGO" on my Newcastle Roots Music Radio January 2014 podcast which can be found below.
